DETROIT PATH
Detroit Path is a bicycle pavilion and local organic cafe located on the Detroit Riverwalk. The space embodies Detroit's transition from an industrial, auto reliant city, to a post-industrial city of farming and bicycles. The design form is defined by a ramp that be reached by a bicycle lift or stairs and then ridden down. The ramp is created by a simple cut and folding of the earth's surface. The structure is made up of a root like structure that maintains the ramp's connection to the earth.
